About MusicSuey

MusicSuey reads the music press so you do not have to. We watch dozens of outlets around the clock, write what happened in our own words, and show you exactly who reported each story and how well it holds up. No reposted articles, no anonymous aggregation, no noise.

The editor

MusicSuey is edited by Adam Culpepper, a web developer in the Chicago area who has spent his career building things for the browser and his spare time building things for music. His other site, SongSuey, catalogs albums down to the names in the liner notes, the sort of detail most coverage skips, and MusicSuey grew out of the same itch: music news is scattered across dozens of outlets, each with its own noise, and nobody was keeping score of what actually held up.

So this site does the unglamorous part. It reads everything, writes what happened in plain words, credits every outlet that reported it, and tells you honestly whether a story is confirmed, developing, or hanging on a single source. When something here is wrong, it gets fixed in the open.
