Alfie Templeman has postponed his upcoming shows to get help for substance abuse issues and depression, he said on social media. The affected dates included shows with Bastille at Dreamland Margate and a slot at 110 Above Festival in Leicestershire.
Templeman said his current mental state made it impossible to perform the scheduled shows and that he needed to seek serious help, adding that fans would see a lot more of him once he is better. 110 Above Festival responded that it was saddened by the news but respected his decision to put his health first.
His 2022 debut album, Mellow Moon, also touched on anxiety; in an NME interview at the time, he discussed the song Broken, saying he had gone into a dark place during the pandemic and needed to confront what he had been avoiding rather than push it away.

110 Above Festival's own statement praised Templeman directly: "It takes real courage to recognise when you need help and to say so publicly," it said. "We have enormous respect for Alfie for putting his health first." Templeman himself struck a similar note discussing "Broken" back in 2022: "The deeper you go, the more painful it is, but you also discover more about yourself," he said. "It's just part of growing up."
