Aluminum, the San Francisco band, line up second album Iconoclast HaHa

Lead single Killing Time arrives with the news, two years on from the debut Fully Beat.

Aluminum

Aluminum have announced Iconoclast HaHa, the follow-up to their debut album, and released a lead single called "Killing Time". Stereogum reported the announcement on August 26.

The San Francisco band put out their first full-length, Fully Beat, in 2024. Iconoclast HaHa is the second record under the name, and arrives roughly two years after that debut.

Danielle Chelosky, who wrote the item for Stereogum, described "Killing Time" as a relentless ripper, which is a fair marker for where the band sit: fast, loud guitar rock rather than anything more considered.

What has not been given is almost everything else. The announcement carried no release date, no label and no tracklist, so the lead single is the only piece of the album anybody outside the band has heard.

Iconoclast HaHa goes on the release calendar without a date attached until the band fill in the rest. Their debut arrived with little fanfare and built an audience slowly, and the second record is being rolled out the same way, one song at a time.
