Anna Rae signs with Joan Of Arc Music for management

Anna Rae has signed with Joan Of Arc Music for management, putting the young country singer with the company founded and run by Cindy Mabe.

Rae grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and started performing early: she played Young Elsa in Disney's Frozen on Broadway at 12. Her debut single, Run Cinderella, came out the same day as the management announcement, co-written with Stephanie Chapman and Emily Landis.

The signing follows a stretch of Nashville rooms rather than radio. She recently made her Bluebird Cafe debut and hosted a Tin Pan South writers round at the Station Inn alongside Matraca Berg, Landis and Chapman, which is a conventional route for a writer-first country artist.

Mabe described her as one of the purest and most timeless vocalists of her generation, calling her a storyteller and songwriter with more depth than her age would suggest. That is the pitch the company will build on.

Rae, for her part, framed the deal around patience. She said the Joan of Arc team believe in building careers with intention and longevity, and that the arrangement gives her the freedom to evolve and take risks rather than chase an immediate hit.

There is very little released music behind the deal so far, which makes it a bet on the rooms rather than the streaming numbers. Similar country signings have landed all year, among them Shantaia's management deal with Walk Off Entertainment and Kevin Monahan's publishing deal with Eclipse.
