Anthrax released a new single called Everybody's Got a Plan on August 6, Metal Injection reported. It is the third song shared from Cursum Perficio, the thrash band's first album in over a decade, due out September 18 through Megaforce in the US and Nuclear Blast in Europe.
Drummer Charlie Benante called the song one of his favorites on the record, and said the video shows the band on and off stage in a montage that matches the song's pace. Guitarist Scott Ian, in an earlier interview, said the band wanted to capture themselves having fun on tour.
Benante calls the song's key line, "Everybody's Got A Plan until they get punched in the face," a great one, and true.
Everybody's Got a Plan follows earlier Cursum Perficio previews It's For The Kids and The Edge Of Perfection. Anthrax also recently announced a graphic novel about their history, titled NOT: The Illustrated Oral History Of Anthrax, due out early next year, and the band head out on tour this autumn, including stops at Louder Than Life and a show in Mexico City.
The single lands in our metal coverage and on the release calendar.
