Asher White has released a new single, "Stage Diva," the second preview of her upcoming album, Love Aggregates, The Line of Best Fit reported on August 5. It follows the earlier single "The eagle is no omen."

White described "Stage Diva" as a tongue-in-cheek, speculative take on fame and fortune. "I admit to feeling a little uncertain about the 'Point' of developing a pop music enterprise," she said, questioning whether it reflects "a true love of the Scene and the Community" or something closer to ego.

She also pointed to a specific lyric, "I used to watch you shave," explaining that it was about once treating shaving as "a meditative workshop in gender dysphoria and vulnerability," though she said she now only shaves in the shower, where she does not have to see herself.

Musically, White said she was aiming for something in the vein of the band Alvvays: "I would like to be in Alvvays," she said. Love Aggregates is White's follow-up to her 2025 release, 8 Tips for Full Catastrophe Living.

Love Aggregates is due out August 28 on Joyful Noise, tracked on the release calendar, and continues White's run of indie releases following the acclaim of 8 Tips for Full Catastrophe Living.
