Bela Fleck has booked a North American tour that runs through the rest of the year, starting September 2 in Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania and finishing December 10 in Puerto Morelos, Mexico.
The run follows a live album, Live Heart: My Bluegrass Heart at the Ryman, due October 16 through Thirty Tigers. That record was captured at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on January 8, 2022, with Fleck and his Bluegrass Heart Band playing the Grammy-winning album My Bluegrass Heart in full view of an audience.
The routing leans on concert halls rather than clubs. Fleck plays Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on September 15 with Renee Fleming and Sierra Hull, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on September 22 with Fleming, and Carnegie Hall in New York on December 3, again with Fleming.
Festival stops sit in between, among them the Earl Scruggs Music Festival in Mill Spring, North Carolina on September 4, the Annapolis Baygrass Festival on September 20 and the Hillberry Music Festival in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on October 11.
There is one Canadian date on the whole itinerary: Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto on November 13. After that the tour turns back into the United States for a December stretch through Virginia, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont and Pennsylvania.
Tickets are on sale now, and the first preview of the live album is a Live Heart reading of "Blue Mountain Hop." The full routing is the kind of thing the tour guide tracks, and the record itself lands in the middle of a busy country release stretch.
