cosign has released "Too Far For What," a single out now through Our House Online.
The label is a boutique imprint whose roster includes Freak Slug and shortstraw., which places the release in a small-scale, curated corner rather than a major-label rollout.
cosign is Marsha Greer, an artist and producer based in Belfast. Her work has a painterly quality to it, built from opaque tones and vaporous textures rather than sharp edges, and this single sits on the more evocative and pastoral side of what she does.
It was co-produced with Chris W. Ryan, and the arrangement drifts toward the expansive end of shoegaze in places. Clash described it as gently overpowering, which is a useful contradiction for a song that is understated and still hard to ignore.
The single lands ahead of her set at Left Of The Dial this autumn. No album or EP has been announced alongside it. New indie releases with dates attached are on the release calendar.
