Rapper BigXthaPlug was arrested in Texas last week on charges including driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The rapper was booked into the Collin County Jail after Allen police pulled him over on Friday, August 21. He faces charges of DUI, possession of under two ounces of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to TMZ.
The arrest fell on the same day BigXthaPlug was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising Festival in Canada. Festival organizers announced on Instagram that he would no longer appear, citing a "personal emergency."
He was released over the weekend and posted his mugshot to Instagram on Sunday, captioning it, "THAT SH*T LITE [face palm emoji] ALBUM OTW..."
The arrest comes almost exactly a year after a similar incident in Dallas in August 2025, when police reportedly found a firearm and marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop. He was also arrested in Texas in February 2025 after police pulled him over for expired tags, smelled marijuana and found both weed and a gun in the car; he was released on bond in that case as well.
