Breanne Miller has left Martin, Allbee, Miller, Bryan & Associates to start her own company. Wayfinders, Inc. is a Nashville based financial management firm working with recording artists, songwriters, performers, producers and other entertainers, from people starting out to those decades into a career.
Miller brings 25 years of experience in financial management inside the music and entertainment industries, which in practice means the unglamorous end of an artist's working life: royalties arriving from a dozen sources in different currencies on different schedules, touring costs, tax across multiple states, and the long gaps between income that make budgeting difficult.
She was careful to credit where she came from. "I am thrilled to bring the vision of Wayfinders to life," she said, describing the experience she gained with Kirke Martin and Laine Allbee as an exceptional foundation and saying she intends to honour that legacy while building something lasting.
She is not going alone. Kyle Malone, a longtime colleague and a Belmont University graduate with experience across the entertainment and music business, joins her at the new firm. Belmont sits a few minutes from Music Row and supplies a large share of Nashville's business side, so the pairing is a familiar shape for a new shop in that city.
The plan is to keep growing the client base while serving both established and emerging names. That combination is the harder part of the business model: developing artists need the help most and can pay for it least, so firms that take them on are making a bet on who is still working in ten years.
Nashville's service sector has been unusually active this year, with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum promoting two staff members, Sony Music Publishing Nashville signing the songwriter Kinsley, and TikTok closing its Music Row office and cutting staff.
