Scottish singer-songwriter Brooke Combe has released her new single, "Love Was Made Of Stone." It follows her Fontana debut single, "Tears Won't Lie," which came out in April, and was recorded with The Coral's James Skelly at Kempston Studios in Liverpool.
Combe describes the song as an account of years spent believing something was real love before it turned into manipulation and game playing, the kind of toxic attachment people recognise as bad for them yet keep holding onto in the hope it will change.
Her soulful delivery sits close to the acts covered in our R&B hub even as she is billed as a singer-songwriter, and the single lands in the release calendar among this month's arrivals. "Love Was Made Of Stone" is out now on Fontana.
