Brutalismus 3000 return with the club track "Drop Your Spirit"

It is the Berlin duo's first song since their second album Harmony in June.

Brutalismus 3000 are back with "Drop Your Spirit," a club cut and the first new song from the pair since the summer.

The duo are Theo Zeitner and Victoria Vassiliki Daldas, who work out of Berlin and have built an audience on the harder end of dance music rather than through radio.

Their second album, Harmony, arrived in June. They told Stereogum at the time that it drew on Leonard Cohen, Pulse and Death Grips, which is a set of reference points that explains more about the record than a genre tag would.

"Drop Your Spirit" is built for a room rather than for headphones, and lands as a standalone track rather than as the start of another album campaign.

Coming three months after Harmony, it suggests a working pace closer to a club producer's than a band's, with material appearing when it is finished rather than when a release cycle calls for it.

The song joins the rest of this week's electronic singles on the release calendar.
