Chuy Lizarraga and Julio Preciado have announced a joint tour, teaming up for a run of shows that also features Luis Angel El Flaco on select dates. The trek kicks off at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, on September 12 and wraps at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta on October 31.
The two Sinaloan music stars build the run around each artist's own strengths: Lizarraga opens the tour solo with El Flaco in Palm Desert before both artists join Preciado at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 13. Lizarraga then plays a solo stretch through Phoenix, Wheatland, Denver and Salt Lake City before the tour reunites him with Preciado for shows in Houston and Irving, Texas.
All three artists share the bill at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on October 16, the tour's biggest date, before Lizarraga and Preciado continue on to Seattle and Portland. The run closes with two Lizarraga-only shows, at the United Palace Theatre in New York on October 29 and the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta on October 31.
Lizarraga, Preciado and El Flaco are each veterans of some of banda music's most influential groups. Lizarraga fronted La Original Banda El Limon de Salvador Lizarraga in the late 1990s, Preciado sang with the same outfit in the early 1990s and later joined Banda El Recodo, and El Flaco spent 2003 to 2019 in Banda Los Recoditos.
General tickets for the Chuy Lizarraga and Julio Preciado tour go on sale August 21 via Live Nation, adding another marquee run to Latin music's fall touring calendar, tracked on the tour guide.
