The 60th annual CMA Awards will name its nominees on Thursday, September 10, closing off the guesswork that has run through Nashville since the eligibility window shut.

The announcement splits across two broadcasts. Lara Spencer reveals a selection of categories live on Good Morning America, and the remaining categories follow on a livestream at 8am CT on the trade body's official YouTube channel. Lee Ann Womack and recent American Idol winner Hannah Harper host that second half.

Nominations are decided by the CMA's professional voting membership rather than a jury or a chart formula, which is why the slate tends to reflect standing inside the industry as much as commercial performance in any given year.

The ceremony itself goes out live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 18, airing on ABC and Disney+ and arriving on Hulu the following day. Tickets for the live event go on sale on Friday, September 18 at 10am CT.

A 60th edition carries some weight on its own. The awards have been running since 1967 and remain the closest thing country has to an annual verdict on itself, which is part of why the nomination morning gets its own production rather than a press release.
