Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, Rick Mitarotonda of Goose and Eric Krasno of Soulive have formed a new supergroup called Rainbow Body, set to play its first-ever live show on October 23 at the Irvine Bowl in Laguna Beach, California.
The full lineup also includes Dawes drummer Griffin Goldsmith, Terrapin Family Band guitarist and bassist Ross James, and Circles Around the Sun keyboardist Adam MacDougall, pulling together players from several corners of the jam and Americana scenes into one all-star band.
The debut show is part of the Coast Film & Music Festival's Concerts In The Canyon 2026 series, which runs October 23 through 25 in Laguna Beach. Rainbow Body headlines opening night, with Ignacio Maria Gomez and Garth Stevenson opening, ahead of Ben Harper with G. Love and Lily Meola on October 24 and Amos Lee with Frankenreiter, G. Love and Meola closing the run on October 25.
Tickets for Rainbow Body's debut go on presale Thursday, August 27 at noon PT, with fans able to comment "HANDS" on the band's Instagram post to receive the presale code; general sale follows later that day through Eventive.org. No further Rainbow Body dates have been announced yet.
The new project gives Goldsmith, Mitarotonda and Krasno a shared stage outside their main bands, and fans can watch for future dates on the tour guide as this corner of the rock and indie scene's collaborations keeps expanding.
