DocturDot of EarthGang previews a second album with 1x4DaWonton

DocturDot of EarthGang, who also goes by WowGr8, has announced his second solo album, Twice In A Blue Moon, and previewed it with a new single, 1x4DaWonton, AllHipHop reported on August 11. The Bobby Earth-produced track features Taylr and blends UK house music with the Atlanta hip-hop sound popularized by The Dungeon Family.

The album follows DocturDot's 2025 solo debut, Howl At Da Moon. Raised in Atlanta, he has said his musical instincts trace back to his father, who introduced him to Miami bass and Uncle Luke and shaped the bounce and cadence still audible in his work. He co-founded the hip-hop collective Spillage Village before meeting Johnny Venus at Mays High School, where the two went on to form EarthGang, the Dreamville-backed duo that has earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance for "Down Bad" and a Black Reel Award for the song "Collide" from Queen & Slim.

1x4DaWonton was first heard during J. Cole's The Fall Off World Tour. "This song is so special to me. It's a fun, upbeat and satirical portrait of modern dating," DocturDot said in a statement about the release. The artwork was created by Virginia-based graphic designer Tyler Blankinship, and the track is out now through FreeGraffiti Studios.

Onstage, DocturDot has anchored four headlining EarthGang tours across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia and New Zealand, and has opened for Gorillaz, Billie Eilish, J. Cole, Clipse, T-Pain and JID. EarthGang has also collaborated with JID, Future, Kehlani, T-Pain and Ciara, and played festival sets at Coachella, Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, Electric Forest and Dreamville Fest.

No release date for Twice In A Blue Moon was given beyond the single's arrival, one more entry in a strong year of hip-hop collaborations.
