Dylan Scott maps 18 cities for the Dear Big City Tour from January

Dylan Scott has put 18 cities on his next headlining run. The Dear Big City Tour opens at The Fillmore Detroit on 21 January 2027 and finishes at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, Washington on 6 March, working through the Midwest, the Northeast, the Rockies, the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest on the way.

The name comes from the record. Dear Big City is Scott's current single, and he says naming the tour after it felt right because the song calls out to the big city from a small-town position. He pointed out that plenty of his audience have left their hometowns for exactly those bigger markets, and that the run is a way of bringing the show to them.

The song itself is addressed to somewhere rather than someone. It is written as a letter to the city that may one day take his son away from home, asking it to look after the boy and give him a full life while he holds on to where he came from. That is a more specific premise than most country singles about leaving town carry.

The routing is built around secondary markets as much as major ones. Grand Rapids, Waukee in Iowa, Sioux Falls, Bismarck and Rochester in Minnesota take the first stretch in January; Philadelphia, Wallingford and Boston follow in early February; then Denver, Omaha and Park City in Kansas; then Albuquerque, Prescott Valley and Chandler in Arizona; then Kennewick, Spokane and Wenatchee to close.

Support is divided three ways. Graham Barham opens every date, Cody Lohden takes the January and February eastern and central shows, and Jacob Hackworth covers the southwestern and Pacific Northwest dates; the Chandler show on 27 February is billed with Barham alone.

Tickets moved quickly to market. A presale started on 17 September, the day the tour was announced, with general on-sale following on 25 September.

Scott has a second record working alongside the single. He recently released Girl From Louisiana, a song about his home state that interpolates Garth Brooks' Callin' Baton Rouge, which is a direct enough lift that the reference is the point rather than an easter egg.
