Ellie Goulding released a new single called Ravers on August 7, EDM.com reported, trading the introspective balladry of her recent singles for a bright, four-on-the-floor house anthem the outlet called her most festival-ready release in years.
EDM.com described the song as a love letter to the rave community, with lyrics dwelling on surrender and euphoria, closing on the line: "I wanna be the joy in your ride, ravers until we die."
The track recalls the euphoric energy of her earlier hit Lights, the outlet said, after two more downbeat singles, Black Prada Dress and 4 Seasons, marked a more introspective stretch for the chart-topping artist.
Ravers will appear on Goulding's sixth album, I Know Too Much, due out September 4.
