FFO: Chillin, a rock band out of Concord, New Hampshire, released a new single called "All I Know" on August 13, Stereogum reported. The song arrives on Daze, a Connecticut hardcore label known for heavier acts like Pain Of Truth, Torture and Balmora, though Stereogum described FFO: Chillin's own sound as closer to Drug Church and Militarie Gun, with chunky, melodic guitar work put in service of catchy songwriting.
The band, which has a couple of EPs to its name, plays what Stereogum called hard, melodic rock that leans toward post-hardcore, with some of the low-end churn of Deftones running through its pop-minded songwriting. "All I Know" gives a fuller look at that sound ahead of a run of live dates.
Over the coming week, FFO: Chillin will open five shows for Joyce Manor and Glitterer, a run that puts the young band in front of established crowds in the same melodic hardcore and emo-adjacent scene it draws from.
With the new single now logged on the release calendar and the Joyce Manor and Glitterer dates underway, FFO: Chillin looks positioned to build on the momentum from its early EPs heading into the rest of the year.
