Frankie Valli cancelled his remaining 2026 tour dates to focus on health

Frankie Valli has denied claims that he is set to retire, responding to a social media post from his brother Bobby last week. "In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired," Valli wrote on his own Instagram page.

Bobby Valli had posted on Facebook alongside a 2025 photo of the two of them, calling Frankie an incredible singer with a magnificent career before writing: "HE WILL NOW RETIRE." Bobby later walked the claim back in a follow-up post, writing that he had been "misinformed" and wishing Frankie a "speedy recovery" so he could "continue his illustrious career."

The confusion followed Valli's decision to cancel his remaining 2026 tour dates to focus on his health. "I'm so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows," he wrote in the statement announcing the pause, explaining that he had decided to take the rest of the year off from touring.

The pause comes two years after Valli issued a statement addressing concerns sparked by footage that appeared to show him lip-syncing and struggling to keep up with the music. He turned 92 earlier this year, and canceled the dates shortly after his birthday, ending a farewell run, The Last Encores Tour, that began in 2023 and had been billed to continue into November.

Last year, Valli was among those honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys' Special Merit Awards, recognizing his decades of contributions to music. "I'm looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon," he added in his statement. "Thank you for all your good wishes."
