Freya Ridings and the Script topped the bill at the 2025 Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza, the one-night show Glastonbury Festival stages in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. The festival published its own photographs from the weekend on 11 August 2025, thanking everyone who turned up.
The rest of the bill ran to two more acts. The Wells Cathedral Oratorio Society opened the evening, in the local-choir slot the Extravaganza has kept for years, and the Steve Whalley Band played before the headliners.
Anna Barclay and Rik Mav shot the gallery, splitting 28 frames between them. Barclay is a long-standing Glastonbury photographer whose work runs through the festival's own archive.
The Extravaganza has been staged in the Abbey grounds since 1996 and, like the Pilton Party, exists as a thank you from Michael Eavis to people who live near Worthy Farm. It began as a classical concert, grew to three days, then settled back in 2013 into a single Saturday night with a popular music bill.
Its running order is close to fixed. Gates open at about 4.30pm, a local choir starts proceedings around 5pm, a run of acts leads up to the headliner, and fireworks close the night at about 10pm. Attendance runs to roughly 10,000, and the audience brings picnics, with street food traders from the main festival also on site.
