Shazam Conner released the remix of his solo track "Back It Up For Love" on August 23, via Shazam Music Inc. and So, Let's Talk Ltd. The new version blends Conner's traditional R&B delivery with heavier Southern soul and country influences, expanding on a song that had already built serious momentum on its own.
Conner is a founding member of H-Town, the platinum-selling group behind '90s R&B staples like "Knockin' Da Boots" and "Emotions." Since launching a solo career in 2023, he has landed four Billboard-charting releases, including the Top 30 Adult R&B Airplay hit "Strokey Doke" and the Bobby V-assisted 2024 single "Weekend."
The original "Back It Up For Love" has generated more than 13 million views on TikTok, passed 164,000 streams on Spotify and peaked at No. 2 on the iTunes R&B/Soul chart, driven in part by a line dance created by choreographer Denise "Lady D."
"The song means we will stay together no matter what, because everybody has problems," Conner said, describing the track as a celebration of commitment through hard times.
Beyond the music, Shazam Music Inc. has launched the "Everybody Got Problems" Giveaway, inviting fans to submit videos about a personal challenge for a chance at a $2,500 cash prize. A radio airplay campaign is set to follow in the coming months as the R&B single continues its run on the release calendar.
