Hans Zimmer is taking his live show back across North America in early 2027, under the billing Hans Zimmer Live - The Next Level. The run opens at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut on 17 February and finishes at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on 11 April.
Exclaim describes it as a 32-date tour and then prints an itinerary listing 30 shows, a gap the outlet does not explain. Either two dates were held back from the published list or the billing is rounded, and until more dates surface the safest reading is the one the itinerary supports.
February is the eastern seaboard. After Hartford come UBS Arena at Belmont Park, the Prudential Center in Newark, Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia and TD Garden in Boston, before the tour crosses into Canada.
Four of the shows are Canadian, which is unusual weighting for an arena run of this size. Ottawa's Canadian Tire Centre takes 26 February and Quebec City's Videotron Centre 28 February, with Hamilton's TD Coliseum on 2 March; the fourth comes much later, at Vancouver's Rogers Arena on 8 April.
March covers the middle and the south: Detroit, Chicago's United Center, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth, Denver's Ball Arena, Salt Lake City and Phoenix. April runs the west coast, from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and the Honda Center in Anaheim through San Francisco, Sacramento, Vancouver and Seattle before the Portland close.
Tickets moved quickly for a tour announced almost five months out. Presales opened on 23 September at 10am local time, with the general on-sale two days later on 25 September.
The one thing the announcement does not say is what the show contains. Zimmer's catalogue is large enough that the difference between a Dune-heavy evening and a career retrospective is a genuine question, and no programme is given. Film music has been getting this kind of attention for a while now: Rock Burwell's Obsession score drew Oscar talk on release, Thomas Bangalter described his Tron: Legacy work as depressing and limiting in retrospect, and even a small score like Rust now gets a vinyl pressing.
