Hardcore-metal veterans Hatebreed have released "Fatal Paradox," the title track and second single from their upcoming ninth studio album.

The song delivers an onslaught of chugging riffs and breakdowns built around vocalist Jamey Jasta's signature rasp, offering a slightly different energy than the album's lead single, "Kill Count Increase," which the band released last month. Jasta described that first single as a distillation of the band's identity going into their first album in six years. "It's straightforward, in-your-face Hatebreed," he said. "Fast. Hard. It gets down to business and comes up for air two-and-a-half minutes later."

Fatal Paradox arrives November 6 via BLKIIBLK, a new label home for the band after years on their previous imprint, and the shift in energy between its first two singles suggests the record will move across different metal styles and crossover sensibilities rather than staying in one lane.

The single lands in the middle of Hatebreed's run on the second leg of the Summer Slaughter Tour, where the band is currently headlining shows with support from Terror, Creeping Death, Incantation, Gates to Hell and Torture, including a stop at Spokane's Knitting Factory the day the song arrived.

With two singles now out ahead of the November release, Fatal Paradox is shaping up as Hatebreed's most anticipated album in years, landing the same month as new metal singles from Between the Buried and Me and To The Grave, all trackable in the release calendar, as the band continues to tour heavily across North America through mid-September.
