Helen Bruner and Terry Jones have released a new song, "Never Gonna Fall," as a duo, SoulTracks reported on August 8. The outlet's founder, Chris Rizik, described it as a classy ballad about unexpected love developing out of friendship, built on elegant production and two voices that simply work together.

Bruner and Jones are established songwriters and producers whose credits run from Celine Dion to Method Man to the late Linda Jones, Terry Jones's mother, SoulTracks reported. The two have also built a side career performing as a duo, one Rizik said has made them regular presences on the site.

For "Never Gonna Fall," the pair mixed and mastered the track in Dolby Atmos and chose not to use artificial intelligence, working instead with real musicians throughout. Rizik heard "more than a bit of Philadelphia Soul lineage" in the finished song, pointing to that genre's tradition of lush arrangements built around close vocal harmony.

SoulTracks framed the release as a first listen rather than a full review, publishing it alongside a music video and streaming links but without detailing where the song fits into either artist's wider catalog or whether more new music is planned.

It's the latest addition to the release calendar and our R&B and soul coverage, adding a new duo release to the catalog Bruner and Jones have built as producers for other artists.
