Jacquees released "Mood 2" on July 31, a sequel to the mixtape that broke him a decade earlier, That Grape Juice reported on August 4. The Cash Money Records release runs 22 songs and gathers tracks already out, among them "Lick Back," "He Kant" and "Physical," alongside guest appearances from Juvenile, Tink, Kodak Black, DC Young Fly and Ty Dolla $ign.

The album arrived with a video for one of its cuts, "Accuse Me." That Grape Juice framed "Mood 2" as an attempt to match the acclaim of the original "Mood," which the outlet called Jacquees' breakthrough mixtape, releasing it on Apple Music and Spotify alongside the video.

The R&B artist has built his catalog on a mix of mixtapes and studio albums since that 2016 project, and Mood 2 lands in the release calendar alongside the rest of August's R&B and soul releases.
