Jacques Greene has announced his third solo album, JG, out October 16 on his own LuckyMe imprint, Pitchfork reported August 5. Ahead of the release, the Montreal producer shared the lead single "Presence," a bass-heavy two-step track.
JG follows Greene's 2019 album Dawn Chorus. In 2025, he collaborated with producer Nosaj Thing on a self-titled album released under the alias Verses GT.
The 11-track album features DJ Boring, umru and SAM-E among its guests, whom Greene says came from the organic relationships in his network rather than a concept. "This record moves away from concepts and follows an intuition for places where I wanted to be and where I would be wanted," he said of the album, adding that one collaboration with Noah, who records as SEES0000, happened partly because "we walked from his studio to get Sonoran tacos and talked about life."
The album runs eleven tracks in total: "Closer" featuring DJ Boring opens it, followed by "Presence," "Seconds" with Ouri and Jonah Yano, "Two" with SAM-E, "Everyone" with SEES0000, "Time To Go" with CFCF, "What You Say" with umru, "Breathe" with crushed, "Waiting" with Solv, and closing instrumentals "Halation" and "Slowly."
The single lands on the release calendar ahead of the electronic producer's fall album.
