JJ Farrell has exited as managing director of jump.global, a global community for the music industry focused on personal and professional growth, MusicRow reported. His last day at the company is Aug. 7.
At jump.global, Farrell led the company's marketing agency, securing hundreds of conference, event, academic and press placements for dozens of executives and multiple nine-figure enterprises. He also co-led the company's event initiatives, overseeing everything from sponsorships and design to venue logistics and operations.
Farrell helped launch and scale Hits Home, jump.global's flagship music business conference in Nashville, building it into the company's signature annual gathering for the industry.
He also ran Volumes, the company's free virtual summit for music business students, which brought together more than 1,000 students from over 10 countries and 200-plus universities worldwide, and helped launch the jump.global Summit, the company's end-of-year retreat featuring intimate conversations with award-winning entertainment executives and institutions.
Farrell's departure leaves jump.global without the executive who had overseen much of its public-facing programming, from the marketing agency's placements to the flagship conference and student summit, at a time when the company's event calendar continues to expand. After Aug. 7, Farrell can be reached directly at jjfarrellmusic@gmail.com for anyone following up on the initiatives he leaves behind.
