Nashville-based country riser Josh Ross has released a new single, "Kicked Out Of Bars," days before heading to the UK for a run of summer tour dates.
Originally from Canada, Ross broke through with his debut EP, Complicated, which he has followed with a run of nominations that put him at the top of this year's CCMA Awards with seven nods. "Kicked Out Of Bars" blends country songwriting with a rock edge, and Ross said the track "felt like me from the minute we wrote it."
"It's one of those songs almost everyone can relate to, whether you've been the one getting kicked out," Ross said, adding that he wanted to give fans something fun and upbeat to close out the summer, and that reception at live shows already has crowds singing along before the studio version's release.
Ross plays six UK shows starting August 24 at Limelight 2 in Belfast, moving through the Green Room at The Academy in Dublin, Electric Ballroom in London, The Long Road in Leicestershire and Academy 2 in Manchester, before wrapping August 31 at Saint Lukes & The Winged Ox in Glasgow. The single and tour run join a busy August for country crossover artists, tracked on the release calendar.
