Knock2 has released a single called sound di alarm, and by EDM.com's reckoning it is his first new original music since his debut album landed in January 2025. That makes the gap longer than the calendar year our own earlier note recorded, which called it simply his first release of 2026.
The track has been out in public for months without being available. He dropped it alongside DJ Snake at Coachella in April, and it has been a fixture of his sets since, standing out at EDC Mexico, CONTRA Berlin, HARD Summer and his LIV residency in Las Vegas. Releasing a song people have been filming on phones since spring is a different proposition from releasing an unknown one.
EDM.com's description of it is unambiguous: ferocious and unrelenting, pushed forward by a bass house groove with trap elements underneath, running without letting up until a final buzzer shuts the whole thing down. It is a festival record that was built in front of festival crowds.
He comes into the release off a multi-night run alongside Skrillex at Chicago's Navy Pier, and he is at Ultra Japan this weekend, where organisers have spent the week publishing conduct rules ahead of the gates opening.
The bigger date is the one he owns. Niteharts, the San Diego festival he co-founded with ISOxo, returns in October and has expanded to three days in its second year. He plays a solo set and reunites with ISOxo under their ISOKNOCK alias, topping a bill that also carries RL Grime, DJ Snake and Porter Robinson.
That is a substantial amount of infrastructure for an artist who was named to the EDM.com Class of 2023. Co-founding a festival, headlining it under two names, and holding a Las Vegas residency is a different career shape from releasing singles and waiting.
