Lara Project, the Venezuelan duo, release their first EP with GUS

Lara Project, the duo of Venezuelan brothers Manuel and Félix Lara, have released their first EP. Finjo Y Estoy Bien (División A) arrived on 19 August 2026, made alongside GUS and produced from start to finish by the brothers themselves, according to Rolling Stone en Español.

The record runs to eight songs, seven of them previously unreleased, and they are strung together by one story: three friends going through separate troubles while each tries to keep up the appearance that everything is under control. Injuries, excess, distance and an unsettled sense of the future all turn up in that account, and friendship and music are where the three of them keep meeting.

Across the eight tracks the duo keep returning to the business of growing up without having the answers, and to the way close relationships end up holding a person steady through the worst stretches. There is also the idea of making something with the people already beside you, and finding in that work a reason to carry on.

'Bonito Día' went out ahead of the full release. It is a song about learning to live in the present and accepting that a life comes in stages, built on the notion that light can be found again after a bad run.

The other song the brothers push forward is 'Si No Estás Tú', which started from the emotional attachment a person can have to a football club. It carries that loyalty across into human relationships: belonging, community, and needing somewhere to return to.

Manuel and Félix Lara are from Valencia, in Venezuela, and they have built the project as a place where three jobs sit together: production, songwriting and their own work as performers. Finjo Y Estoy Bien (División A) is where those separate roles finally arrive on one release.

Pablo Monroy wrote the piece for Rolling Stone en Español, and it is the only account of the release anywhere so far. There is next to nothing on the pair in English, which is the usual position for a young act out of Valencia rather than Caracas.

The EP is filed here under Latin music, and its date sits with everything else out this month on the release calendar.
