Brittani Johnson has joined MCA as vice president of streaming, and Chris Schuler has left the label, where he was vice president of audience development. MusicRow confirmed both changes on September 1, after Country Aircheck first reported them.
Johnson arrives from The Core Entertainment, where she worked as a day-to-day manager. She moved to Nashville in 2017 and started as an intern at Rebel Engine, now Big Sky Music Group, before joining Stephanie Quayle's team.
In 2019 she joined Big Loud as a promotion coordinator and advanced to director of southwest promotion. In that role she worked records by Morgan Wallen, Ashley Cooke, HARDY and Charles Wesley Godwin.
Schuler rejoined the company in 2023 as vice president of promotion for Capitol Records Nashville, and gained his most recent title in 2025 during a restructuring.
A Middle Tennessee State University graduate, he began at BMI in its radio and TV/film department, then joined Mercury Nashville as a promotion coordinator. He rose to vice president of promotion and radio marketing in 2019, working across all four UMG Nashville imprints, and also spent time as VP of promotion at Arista Nashville.
The two moves continue a steady run of label restructuring in Nashville, alongside Warner Records Nashville reworking its marketing team and TikTok closing its Music Row office, and the wider trade picture logged in Debbie Linn's retirement from Leadership Music.
