Kameron Marlowe joined Megan Moroney onstage at Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona for a surprise duet on "Fix You Too," Country Now reported on August 12, during her first-ever arena headlining run.
Moroney set up the moment by telling the crowd she wrote "Fix You Too" with Becca Rae Greene and Adam Wheeler for her debut EP, Pistol Made of Roses, and that the writers cut several versions of it before landing on the one fans know. "The only voice I heard on it was Kameron's, and he was nice enough to sing it," she told the audience, adding that she has long considered him one of the best voices in Nashville.
She later chose the song for the deluxe edition of her 2023 album Lucky, giving Marlowe's vocal a permanent place on the record even before he could join her live. Moroney said it is rare for two touring artists to be in the same place at the same time, and framed his appearance as a chance encounter rather than a planned stop on the tour.
Moroney opened the performance alone before Marlowe took over the second verse, and the crowd's reaction, Country Now reported, was loud enough that she paused the show to ask fans to cheer for him again once the song ended.
It comes a day after a separate report that Moroney was asked to sing on Kenny Chesney's new duet, continuing a run of collaborative moments for her this month. Her Cloud 9 Tour continues this week with a sold-out show in Dallas on August 14, followed by dates in Oklahoma and Missouri.
