Nashville concert series Live On The Green returns in 2027

Nashville's Live On The Green is coming back. Lightning 100 and Opry Entertainment Group are reviving the concert series for 2027, and marking the return with a Lawnwarming Party on October 18 at Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater.

Two alumni headliners play the launch: Guster and Grace Potter, with more acts to be announced. Using former headliners rather than new bookings makes the party a reunion for the audience the series built rather than a straight preview of next year.

Lester Turner Jr., president of Tuned In Broadcasting, the parent company of Lightning 100, said the series has focused on bringing Nashville together through music since it started in 2009. He said the revival would provide more than 1,000 free tickets to the community alongside other affordable options.

The venue is the notable change. Live On The Green built its reputation as a free outdoor series in Public Square Park, and Ascend Amphitheater is a purpose-built ticketed room. Shawn Krauel, Opry Entertainment Group's vice president of amphitheaters and festivals, said the aim is to keep the community feel while giving fans an elevated experience.

Reserved tickets for the Lawnwarming Party are on sale now through the amphitheater. Free tickets will be handed out through Lightning 100's on-air contests, its online ticket window and on-site promotions in the run-up.

The return is logged on the festival tracker ahead of the 2027 dates. It lands during an active period for Nashville venues, including Robert's Western World opening an outpost in the city's new stadium.
