The launch soundtrack for NBA 2K27 has been confirmed, featuring tracks from EsDeeKid, Sombr and A$AP Rocky among dozens of others, NME reported on August 12. The game is set for a September 4 release on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC, though players who pre-order the Deluxe or Ultimate editions can access it from August 28.

According to a press release, the soundtrack bridges generations, blending classics with current hits from artists including Don Toliver, T.I., Bad Bunny, Kehlani and Snoop Dogg. Each new season of the game will bring a refreshed soundtrack chosen by basketball players, musicians and producers; season one leans into the golden age of East Coast hip-hop and R&B, spotlighting tracks from Mos Def, Mary J. Blige and A Tribe Called Quest.

The full list runs to more than 50 songs and reaches well beyond hip-hop, also including J. Cole, Tyler, The Creator, Vince Staples, Burna Boy, Isaiah Rashad, French Montana, DJ Snake, Nas & DJ Premier, and rock cuts from The Killers and Stone Temple Pilots.

The tracklist also pulls in a wider international lineup than past editions, with French artists Tiakola, Gims and Disiz, Japanese singer Yuko Chiba, and Awich and RZA's collaboration with Westside Gunn all featured alongside the US-heavy bulk of the list.

2K is set to host a presentation next Tuesday, August 18, breaking down NBA 2K27's gameplay mechanics and new features, part of a busy year of hip-hop soundtrack news.
