New Order will play Mandarine Park in Buenos Aires on December 1, 2026, Indie Hoy reported on August 4. Tricky joins the bill as a guest act. Tickets go on sale August 5 through Passline, with a six-installment payment plan for Banco Galicia customers.
New Order formed in Manchester in 1980, growing out of Joy Division after singer Ian Curtis died. The band went on to fuse its post-punk roots with electronic dance music, a sound sealed on the 1983 hit "Blue Monday," and became a flagship act for the independent label Factory Records through albums like Power, Corruption & Lies and Technique.
The touring lineup for the Buenos Aires date is Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman. Founding drummer Stephen Morris and keyboardist Gillian Gilbert will not join the tour, with the band citing personal health reasons for the pair sitting out.
The December show marks New Order's return to Argentina after eight years; their last Buenos Aires date was in November 2018 at Estadio Obras Sanitarias. It will be the band's sixth visit to the country since their first Argentina show in 2006, following stops that included a Lollapalooza Argentina slot in 2014. It's tracked alongside the rest of the year's dates in the tour guide and files under our electronic coverage.
