Guitarist Nigel Price has booked a 20-date UK tour for 2026, UK Jazz News reported on August 4, after securing Arts Council England funding for the run. "I really didn't think I had it in me to submit another ACE application," Price wrote on Facebook. "I forced myself through the gruelling process and I bloody well got it! We are GOING ON TOUR!"
The tour opens with seven dates in a duo with Czech guitarist Libor Smoldas, running from October 26 to November 1 across venues including London's Toulouse Lautrec, Guildford's Pavilion and Liverpool's Ma Boyles. From November 3, Price switches to a quartet with Canadian guitarist Lorne Lofsky for 13 further dates, taking in London's 606 Club and Nottingham's Peggy's Skylight before closing on November 15 at the Arlington Ballroom in Southend.
The 20 gigs span 19 stops in England and one in Wales, in Barry on November 5. UK Jazz News described Price as more than a fine guitarist, crediting him as a driving force behind keeping the UK's jazz touring circuit alive.
