Ondalinda has spent a decade turning a private gathering on the Mexican Pacific coast into something its organisers are careful not to call a conventional festival. For its tenth anniversary the event returns to Careyes, in Jalisco, from November 12 to 15, 2026, under a theme it calls Cosmic Code.
The origin story is not Mexican. In 2016 Lulu Luchaire, a French organiser based in California, put together an intimate music and art gathering in Havana to mark the opening of Cuban artist Damian Aquiles' new studio. The name came from a walk along the Malecon: Onda Linda, a beautiful wave, which Luchaire took as a metaphor for connection and movement.
Mexico came next. Luchaire met Filippo Brignone, son of Careyes founder Gianfranco Brignone, and creative producer Philippe Moellhausen, and the three moved the concept to the Costalegre. The setting stopped being scenery and became part of the format: installations built in dialogue with the landscape, wellness sessions, a fashion pop-up for Mexican designers and craftspeople, and a talks programme called The Talk. The organisation now describes a community whose members live in more than 60 countries, with expeditions staged in Los Angeles, Montenegro, Ibiza and Val d'Isere.
The anniversary edition is structured as three named nights. Ancient Future, numbered one, opens on Thursday November 12 at Playa Zyanya, built around the meeting of ancestral artefacts and cosmic symbolism. Friday moves to the Polo Fields for The Shell of Nik, numbered zero, taking the Maya concept of Nik as a seed of creation and dressing the site as a cosmic nest of candles and symbolic art. Saturday closes at Playa Teopa with Land of Omeyocan, one and zero together, staged as a living chessboard and named for the place of duality in Aztec cosmology.
Music is one axis rather than the whole structure, but the booking is specific. The tenth-anniversary lineup includes Chloe Caillet, Natascha Polke playing live, Kaz James, Nick Morgan and WAHM, also live, across the three nights. Days carry a separate programme of yoga, breathwork including the Wim Hof method, temazcal, cacao ceremonies, sound journeys and jungle walks led by regional practitioners.
A second event follows immediately. Ondasana runs from November 16 to 18 as a decompression period, built around jungle immersions, horse rides, sound healing ceremonies, sunset turtle releases and communal dinners. The organisers frame it as a way of landing the energy of the main weekend rather than ending it abruptly.
Ondalinda sits at the far private end of the electronic festival economy, closer to a members' expedition than to a gated field, and it is tracked alongside the rest of the season on the festival tracker. Other operators in that space have had a harder summer: Tomorrowland spent it appealing for the return of a painting stolen at the event, and Wibbly Woods cancelled its 2026 edition outright.
