Pain of Truth release new hardcore single Stranded

Pain of Truth have put out a new single called "Stranded," the second track to surface from their forthcoming self-titled album, following July's "Unforgiven." The Long Island hardcore band paired the release with a live video built from footage of their recent shows, filmed by Theo Sicurella with additional footage from Danny Dog Pound, Metal Injection reported on August 11.

The self-titled record is Pain of Truth's sophomore album and is due out September 25. It follows the band deep into hardcore's current wave, a scene built as much around relentless touring as recorded output, which is where Pain of Truth have spent much of 2026.

The band's headlining North American tour, first announced August 4, opens October 14 in Montreal and runs through November 21, when it closes with a no-barricade show at Brooklyn Steel in New York. The support lineup shifts by city: Madball and Rotting Out join for most of November, Killing Time, Mizery and Missing Out back a run of West Coast dates, and 100 Demons and Shattered Realm support the October stretch, with Killing Pace, Locked Shut, Missing Link, Fatal Realm, xforever warx and Contention filling in on other legs.

Before the tour begins, Pain of Truth head overseas for a run of September festival dates: Thrasher Death Match in Pioneertown, California, on September 12, then club shows in Tokyo and Ibaraki before Bloodaxe Festival in Tokyo on September 19 and a stop in Osaka on September 21. Metal Injection also lists the band on the bills for Furnace Fest, Sick New World, Flyover Fest and Vans Warped Tour, several of which double as stops on the fall tour itself.

The album's September 25 date is one of the releases tracked on the release calendar, and the band's new single adds to a busy year of metal news.
