Parannoul has put out a new record under the name Huremic, one of the alter egos the anonymous South Korean musician keeps alongside his main project. It is called No Dancing Allowed, and it arrives during an unusually quiet year for him.
Under the Parannoul name, 2026 has been close to silent. The only release was a one-off track in early January, "New Year's Resolutions", which is a thin year by the standards of a musician who has otherwise turned out a lot of music in a short career.
The quiet is only on one side of the ledger. He also records as Huremic and as Mydreamfever, and the projects run in parallel rather than in sequence, so a gap under one name rarely means a stop.
No Dancing Allowed follows Seeking Darkness, the previous Huremic record from last year, and a compilation track simply called "3". That gives the alter ego a catalogue of its own rather than a single side release.
Parannoul built a cult following on shoegaze made at home and released without a face attached to it, and the anonymity has held through every stage of that growth. The new record sits in the same indie and rock territory, and it is logged on the release calendar.
