Perrie Edwards reported to have left the label Sony Music and Modest Management

Perrie Edwards has reportedly ended her association with both Sony Music and Modest Management, 15 years after it started.

That Grape Juice, citing The Sun, reports that Edwards was offered the chance to make her second solo album with Columbia Records and chose a clean break instead. Neither she nor the companies have confirmed the split publicly.

The 33-year-old is said to have signed with Various Artists Management, whose roster also includes Melanie C, Tom Grennan and Rose Gray. A source quoted in the report described it as a new chapter and said she is assembling a new team as she begins work on a second album.

The first one arrived last year. Perrie peaked at No. 3 in the UK and was preceded by "Forget About Us," her first solo top 10 hit, giving her a solo footing separate from Little Mix.

The report says she came out of that campaign with a clearer idea of the artist she wants to be, and wants more ownership of both her team and her creative direction. She had already signalled a break, describing her recent single "Passenger Princess" as the closing chapter of her first solo era.

The move sits in a season of pop reshuffles that has also seen an executive exit at Sony Music Entertainment after 26 years and a new management deal for the singer Shantaia.
