Preeper Rhaye MacKay has announced a new album called Blackberry Lane, pairing the October 2 release with a Canadian tour that stops in 13 cities across four provinces. Exclaim! published the announcement on August 18, 2026.
The Americana trio, made up of singer-songwriter Jessica Rhaye, guitarist Bill Preeper and multi-instrumentalist Sandy MacKay, will kick off the tour September 25 at Saint John's BMO Studio Theatre. From there the band heads to the Carleton in Halifax on October 8, Moncton's Empress Theatre on October 9 and Fredericton's Charlotte Street Arts Centre on October 10, closing out its East Coast run before a break.
The tour resumes in central Canada in November, opening at London's Aeolian Hall on the 1st and continuing through Guelph's Silence on the 4th, Toronto's Burdock Music Hall on the 5th and Ottawa's Red Bird on the 7th, along with Quebec dates at Motel Chelsea on the 6th and the Hudson Creative Hub on the 8th. The run wraps back east with shows at Florenceville's Second Wind Music Centre on the 12th and the Drewhaven Cafe in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick, on the 13th.
Blackberry Lane marks the group's sophomore album, and its lead single, "Fare Thee Well (Dink's Song)," arrived with a music video ahead of the announcement.
