Quicksand, the reformed post-hardcore band, have announced a fall co-headlining Canadian tour with Fucked Up, set to run through 10 cities across six provinces this September and October, Exclaim! reported. The trek follows last month's release of Quicksand's new album, Bring On the Psychics.
The tour opens September 22 at Victoria's Capital Ballroom, followed by a Vancouver date at the Rickshaw Theatre the next night. From there, the bands head to Alberta for shows in Calgary and Edmonton before stops in Saskatoon and Winnipeg. The run then moves into Ontario and Quebec, closing with dates in London, Oshawa, Montreal and Ottawa in early October.
Tickets for the full run go on sale August 14. The pairing brings together two long-running acts from different corners of hardcore and post-hardcore, with Quicksand touring behind new material for the first time in years and Fucked Up bringing its own history of unpredictable live shows to the shared bill.
No opening acts have been announced for the tour beyond the two headliners, now listed on the tour guide, and further North American dates have not been ruled out as Quicksand continues promoting Bring On the Psychics.
