Renny Conti joins label Mom + Pop and details second album Split Second

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Renny Conti has signed to Mom + Pop, announced his second album, Split Second, and shared new single Impossible Truth. Split Second follows Conti's 2025 self-titled album.

The record was written during a turbulent period that saw Conti go through a major breakup, lose a family member and leave his New York apartment for a fresh start. Rather than a straightforward account of that period, the album is described as a collection of memories, small tragedies and beautiful moments, with lead single Impossible Truth grappling with relationship-defining arguments as its most vulnerable moment. He has said the album's title came to him in a moment of clarity on a pier, realising that surroundings, relationships and habits all change, often very suddenly.

Conti has performed with Jay Som, Samia and Hamilton Leithauser, with sets at both Pitchfork Paris and London. Ahead of the release, he returns to the UK this September for End Of The Road Festival and a headline show at The Lexington in London on September 10.

Conti framed the run as a step up from his first UK trip: "So excited to head to the UK and Europe with the band to play through my new album," he said. "This is our second time over and this time we're hitting some special festivals and venues that we've never played before."

Split Second is released via the release calendar on September 25 via Mom + Pop, marking Conti's second full indie release.
