PopIndia, the Mumbai subsidiary of Reservoir Media, has acquired every composition and master owned by Vincey Productions, along with the Chennai studio's own YouTube channels, which carry more than 10 million subscribers between them. The company announced the purchase on 27 August and did not disclose financial terms.
Vincey Productions was founded in 1995 and is based in Kamaraj Colony, Chennai. Its catalog runs across more than three decades of South Indian music, weighted heavily toward Tamil and Telugu Christian and devotional recordings, with a strand of children's music alongside it. PopIndia called devotional music "one of the most culturally significant genres in India", which is the commercial logic of the deal stated plainly.
Founder Vincent Raj framed the sale as a handover rather than an exit. "We are proud of the legacy we have built and are excited to partner with PopIndia to amplify these songs," he said, pointing to a catalog built with artists and musicians across a range of Indian musical traditions.
Alongside the acquisition, PopIndia signed a publishing deal covering the future work of 30KEY!, whose name the company gives as Rajvir Singh. The Kashmiri producer has worked repeatedly with the Punjabi artist Talwiinder, on Dil Mera Pt. 1, Dil Mera Pt. 2 and Your Eyes, and with the Kashmiri hip-hop acts SOS, or Straight Outta Srinagar, and Ahmer, on tracks including Czawul, Blackball, Kala and BMK. PopIndia says his productions pull on traditional Kashmiri sounds and field recordings.
Spek, who oversees the subsidiary, put the two deals together as one move, from established devotional repertoire at one end to a new generation of creators at the other, and described both as part of building a portfolio across India's regional music. It is the pattern PopIndia has followed since Reservoir launched it in April 2025 as the company's seventh global office, starting with the signing of Yohani and inheriting existing relationships with the rapper DIVINE and his Gully Gang Entertainment.
A month after launch the subsidiary bought the publishing and master rights to the Musicraft Entertainment catalog, more than 1,000 recordings plus a YouTube channel with over 3 million subscribers, which makes the Vincey purchase the second catalog of scale it has taken in under 18 months. PopIndia has also appointed Diya Patil as Operations Manager, working with head of operations Ray Ahmed.
Reservoir's own numbers give the context: the parent company posted $41.5m in publishing and label revenue for the June quarter, and India is where it has been spending.
