Rapper Rod Wave's defense receives 90GB of evidence in Georgia shooting case

Prosecutors in Rod Wave's Georgia shooting case handed his defense team more than 90GB of evidence on July 31, including roughly 1,900 photographs, 111 videos and several audio recordings, according to XXL, AllHipHop and HotNewHipHop. The rapper, whose legal name is Rod Green, faces 14 charges tied to an April 2025 incident at his home in Milton, including aggravated assault, possessing a firearm during a felony, pointing a firearm at another person, reckless conduct and criminal damage to property.

Police say the case began with a burglary at Rod's home, in which a safe was taken from the basement. When an associate returned and discovered the burglary, a verbal argument broke out between the two men, and police allege that Rod then fired multiple shots outside the property, striking two vehicles, a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon and a Rolls-Royce. Officers reported finding bullet casings on the driveway and a handgun at the scene.

Rod has pleaded not guilty to all charges. "There is no truth to these charges," his attorney, Drew Findling, said, arguing that Rod was the victim of the burglary rather than a perpetrator of any crime.

Rod's next court appearance is scheduled for September 28. In the meantime, he is preparing to release his new album, Don't Look Down, on August 28, with an accompanying tour of the same name launching September 12.
