Roy Woods released a new album called X on August 7, HotNewHipHop reported, a 10-track project light on guest features.
Woods records for OVO Sound, where HotNewHipHop said he has both drawn from and shaped the sound of label head Drake; the outlet said his vocal melodies and songwriting are strong enough to carry the album largely on his own, with Jozzy the only guest, appearing near the album's end.
The full ten-track list runs "How You Say My Name," "Beautiful," "Trust and Believe," "For Me," "I Wanna Know," "Brunch," "Set Fire," "Down in Your Ways" featuring Jozzy, "Break Ties" and "Do You Get Angry."
HotNewHipHop pitched X as listening suited to a night out. The album follows Woods's November 2025 EP Flower City Heartbreak and his 2023 full length Mixed Emotions, continuing a steady run of releases for the Toronto singer over the past decade.
