Ryan Hemsworth has shared "I Missed You More," a track with Nana Lourdes, and it is the first song out from Numbskull, his first solo album in eight years.
Nana Lourdes is a Portuguese psych-pop singer and producer, which makes her a reasonable fit for a collaborator who has never stayed in one lane for long.
Hemsworth has been releasing music since the early cloud-rap era, working across genres rather than settling into one. The Canadian producer's recent work has been in other people's projects as much as his own.
That includes half of the duo Bodysync and a spot in Gia Margaret's live band, both of which help explain the eight-year gap between solo records rather than reading as a disappearance.
Numbskull carries guest appearances from Tegan And Sara and MSPAINT among others. Hemsworth announced the album after signing to Topshelf to release it.
"I Missed You More" is the first indication of what the record sounds like. It joins the rest of the electronic releases logged on the release calendar.
