Saint Levant has postponed his North American tour, and the reason is a US visa process he says has been stuck for years. The Palestinian singer and rapper, born Marwan Abdelhamid, announced the delay on Instagram and has rescheduled the run for spring 2027.
The sticking point came after approval rather than before it. Abdelhamid said that following the initial approval of his visa application he was unexpectedly asked to undergo additional background checks, and that those could take a number of months to complete.
He said the decision to move the dates came after discussions with his legal team and with Palestinian and Arab peers who had been through similar experiences. Faced with an open-ended wait, postponing to spring 2027 was the option that kept the tour intact rather than cancelling it outright.
"I'm incredibly sorry for the disappointment, and apologize to all my fans," he wrote, adding that he wished he could say more and hoped to one day. He also said the team had added more shows and that all tickets would be honoured for the new dates or refunded on request.
The rescheduled routing is larger than the original. It opens with newly added dates at History Ottawa on 19 March 2027 and London Music Hall in Ontario on 20 March, then moves to three consecutive nights at Toronto's History from 23 to 25 March before crossing into the United States for a run that continues into May.
The tour closes with two shows at Vancouver's Malkin Bowl on 12 and 13 May. Tickets for the new dates went on sale the same day the postponement was announced. For a hip-hop artist whose audience is concentrated in North America, a two-year visa problem is a substantial commercial cost, and the revised dates are listed on the tour guide.
