Sam Feldt will lead the music side of Faces of Fitness when the festival makes its Miami debut, sharing top billing with the retired NBA guard Dwyane Wade. The event runs at Regatta Park in Miami on Oct. 24 and 25, and tickets are on sale.
The festival has spent five years in Chicago, presented by the energy drink brand CELSIUS, and sells itself as Lollapalooza for fitness, health and wellness. Feldt headlined last year's Chicago edition and is returning to the brand for the southern expansion.
His contribution is a format rather than a set. Feldt brings the Music to the Mat concept to Miami across several sessions, pairing his own music with bodyweight strength classes led by the Peloton instructors Tunde Oyeneyin, Camila Ramon and Rad Lopez. "11am is the new 11pm, my type of festival," he said, adding that Chicago had been epic.
Wade, a Miami native and a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, hosts a series of warm-up events across the weekend. Festival co-founder David Grass said Feldt's presence alongside Peloton and Sweat Session Studio creates an immersive experience at the intersection of music and sweat.
The rest of the site leans commercial. Organisers promise classes and appearances from lululemon instructors and local Miami fitness influencers, plus more than 75 brand activations covering everything from Botox and B12 treatments to contrast therapy and protein.
A daytime electronic festival built around exercise rather than a night-time main stage is a different business model from a conventional dance event, and one that has been growing steadily. Dates for it and the rest of the season sit on the festival tracker.
